GENERAL INFORMATION

Check-in is anytime after 5:00 PM the evening prior to your first day of hunting. Departure time is before noon on the last day of hunting.

  • IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
    Yes. Duckwerks requires a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, to hold your dates. We'll confirm your dates once we receive your deposit. Your balance is due on or before October 1st.
  • WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
    Cancellations within 30 days of your scheduled hunt will result in the processing of your second payment. For any questions or to discuss rescheduling options, please contact Kolten at (719) 280-7401.
  • IF ONE OF OUR GROUP MEMBERS CANNOT MAKE THE TRIP?
    We understand that life happens. However, our plans are based on how many hunters and guests we've booked daily. If someone must cancel, please find a sub. Duckwerks will gladly transfer the canceller's paid deposit toward your sub. However, in the event of a no-call, no-show with no sub, the client will forfeit their portion of the deposit to cover incurred business expenses and lost revenue.
  • DO I NEED TO BRING WADERS?
    Yes, If you want to hunt flooded timber as there is times water can get waste deep. However, they are not necessary if only goose hunting as long as you bring waterproof boots. Usually, we're hunting dry fields with the occasional water and mud.
  • CAN I BRING MY DOG?
    No, because we are not fully aware of your dog's obedience, demeanor, or skill level. Our dogs are highly trained, insured, and hard-working. Our dog's accustomed to the volume of clients we run and the birds they must retrieve every day.
  • DO I NEED TO PURCHASE MY LICENSE AND STAMPS?
    YES, You are responsible for purchasing all required licenses and stamps prior to your hunt. For more information about what license and stamps to purchase call Kolten at (719) 280-7401
  • DO YOU OFFER CORPORATE PACKAGES?
    Yes, we do offer corporate and small business packages. Please call us at (719) 280-7401 to discuss corporate hunt options and to customize the hunt for your group. We can even customize a meals menu for your corporate group and organize a sheet shooting competition. If you book 12 hunters for the all Inclusive hunt and reserve the dates prior to anyone else booking those dates, then the entire lodge can be reserved for just your group.
  • CAN I BRING A NON-HUNTER?
    Yes, if you have someone in your group that does not want to hunt but wants to come and enjoy the trip and go along on the hunt but not shoot, that is fine. However, the rate is the same for both hunters and non-hunters.
  • DO I NEED A HUNTER EDUCATION CARD?
    Anyone born after 1968 must complete a hunter education course and carry a valid hunter education card to hunt in Arkansas. Children under 16 may hunt without hunter education as long as they are under the direct supervision of an adult who is 21 years old.

What to bring:

  • Shotgun (12 or 20 gauge recommended)

  • Camo outer layer 

  • Warm underlayers strongly recommended 

  • Hunting boots - Warm and waterproof recommended

  • Gloves

  • Sunglasses or shooting glasses recommended 

  • Ear protection

  • Lodge shoes- No hunting boots not be worn inside the lodge

  • Comfortable clothes for the lodge

  • Toiletries, prescriptions, and other personal items  

  • Rain gear or waterproof outer shell recommended

  • Cooler for transporting birds​

  • We require a minimum of 6 hunters to book a private blind, A minimum of 12 hunters required to book for private Lodge, prefer to book in groups of 2 for sleeping arrangements. Each room offers 2 queen beds

  • If you are flying commercial, Memphis International Airport (MEM) is the closest airport just under 2 hours away. Private airport accommodations are available next to the lodge (4M9) runway is 4299'
